The Bank of Thailand (BOT) expressed its concern over Thailand’s household debt situation, which remains high, stating that the incomplete economic recovery has affected people’s income and debt repayment. The BOT therefore emphasized the need to address household debt sustainably, including providing financial knowledge to the public, promoting financial discipline, and supporting debt restructuring measures to help debtors restructure their debts so that households can repay their debts and have a better quality of life.
